The Future of Old Media

With each new technological big thing whether it be the next iPhone or Macbook, the future of old media grows dim. Innovation is interesting and old is boring. How can something like the newspaper compete against something that is constantly improving with seemingly unlimited potential? I personally think that the most outdated old media like the radio and newspapers will eventually die out because they can be replaced by a more interactive and efficient experience that new media such as podcasts and online news websites provides. Other old medias such as television or cinema will take a longer time to die out because of how relevant they are in today's world.
