Blog about Twitter

A Twitter discussion is more public than a blackboard discussion. With Twitter, your tweets can reach everyone with internet if they are public. However, a blackboard discussion pertains only to one class. You can get a lot more different views in a Twitter discussion. However, that's not always a good thing. In a blackboard discussion, you can only get views from people in the class which can be better since everyone will have a good amount of knowledge of what they are talking about. Also, in a blackboard discussion, you can expect quality, real facts since people are using it to get a good grade on participation and homework. However, something that both online discussion boards don't have is spontaneous and flowing conversation. In an in-class conversation, thoughts are just thrown out and people can build on it instantly. In-class conversation is the quickest way to create views and ideas.
