Blog: Social networking sites
The four social networking sites that I chose are Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and Yelp. What all these four sites/apps have in common is that they create a community where you can share whatever you want and give your opinion. I think Facebook and Snapchat are the most personal ones since they are more geared towards you staying connected with your friends and their daily lives. Meanwhile, Twitter and Yelp are more geared towards giving out your opinion and thoughts. With Twitter, you can post your opinion in what is basically a short comment of 140 characters and have people respond to it. With that being said, I might be biased since I don't really know anyone who uses Twitter on a consistent, daily basis. Maybe, it can be something where you can give daily updates on your life if you really wanted to. However, the way I see it is that it's not really about sharing pictures and in-the-moment things but more about thoughts and ideas unlike Facebook or Snapchat. Yelp is also geared towards giving your opinion. You eat food, take pictures of it, and write about it so other people will know more about the restaurant. Overall, all these social media sites/apps are great ways to provide content and keep people updated on things they care about in their lives.
